Television News Broadcasts Entertainment, Not Facts
Long ago television news was a heavily weighted and respected instrument of gaining factual information about local events, and national news. Journalists and reporters were so revered that they became the face or instrument if you will, to which the world was delicately and carefully delivered to millions of news-hungry citizens. News reporters, became the window the world for many individuals, and during times of war - became the sole means of information on foreign affairs.Since then very little has changed, many still get most of their information from television news - even with the growing trend towards Internet news, one must realize that the most respected Internet News websites are run by the very same corporations or organizations that broadcast many of the television news shows and channels that people watch. But the question remains the same, do the people who create television news always favour facts?
Television news is notoriously famous for sensationalizing editorials, vilifying criminal acts, and
creating puff pieces on human interest stories (inspiring acts, children or animals, etc). But what happens when a news channel begins to hide and spin doctor their own misdoings.
