The Most Racist Cartoon to Ever Grace Television

I haven't posted in a while, but when I came across this I knew I had to post something. Today I came across possibly the most racist cartoon to ever be created. Sure we like to think that these cartoons are naive, but really this just disgusting. For starters, the 'pygmies' are overly-racialized with stereotypical 'big lips, overly dark complexion, barbarian/hedon-esque qualities'. And to top it all off, there's the minute details added like the watermelon as bait. Wow..just wow, you have to see it to really understand how bad this is.

I think that it's not really that bad. Especially because that cartoon don't mock pygmies badly, except their size. I saw a Popeye cartoon which mock American natives much worse.

It seems that the "bears" saw the natural world as just something to be exploited, ie the crocodile being seen as a purse the pygmie hunted for the money etc. It rationalizes third world exploitation Its just a cartoon, but it charts the racism and cruelty of a people. The media did it then, it still does it, its just now more sophisticated.
